"Just ‘cause you’re injured doesn’t mean you give up on yourself. There’s many things in this world you can still get out and do. You’re alive for a reason. Never quit."

Therapeutic Recreation

The faster a wounded veteran returns to an active lifestyle the healthier they become both mentally and physically. By affording veterans a break from an institutional medical routine, and engaging them in enjoyable out-door activities, we help them heal and adjust to living with their disabilities.

Our therapeutic recreational programs create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. These programs provide social reintegration, introduce warriors to therapeutic activities, and give them the opportunity to experience the healing power of the outdoors.

We help our warriors come to the realization that, despite traumatic injury, one can achieve virtually any goal through dedication and determination. Each year, we give the Matt Bradford Award in honor of one of our most inspirational warriors. Matt is blind, double amputee marine who harvested the largest buck on our hunt and returns most years to inspire other veterans and talk a little trash.
